CANCELLATIONS

Out of respect to people who are waiting to access appointments, you are required to provide 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. This fee will then need to be paid before any further appointments can be scheduled.

The cancellation fees are as follows:

  • No Show/No Notice- 100% of your appointment fee
  • 24+ hours/Reschedule- No charge

There are certain circumstances where this fee can be waived (eg. death in family) however the best way to avoid this fee altogether is to provide adequate notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

MEDICARE REBATES

Private Heath Insurance REBATES

NDIS- Early Childhood <7years

The “Better Access to Mental Health Care” initiative has allowed many Australians to access Medicare rebates for counselling services.

Unfortunately rebates are not available for either Counselling or Play Therapy as they are not eligible under Medicare's “Better Access to Mental Health Care” initiative  or "Chronic Health Care" Plans.  To receive the Medicare Rebates at this time these services must be provided by registered psychologists and social workers (who must use certain approved evidence-based approaches), following referral by a GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist.

The advantage of not operating under Medicare is that we are not restricted to only a set number of sessions per year.  You do not need to be diagnosed with a Mental Health Disorder and we are also free to tailor the service to meet your needs and goals (not having to use the "approved approaches" to meet the goals set by your GP) .  You have flexibility and choice regarding your health care.

Permanent Care Flexible Funding Program

Permanent Care Flexible Funding can be provided to a permanent carer to help meet additional needs of a child or young person in their care who is subject to a permanent care order which has been made in Victoria.

The funding may be used for a variety of supports including services to address the therapeutic needs of a child which result from trauma or negative experiences and to assist with other services essential to support the placement (eg. Family Counselling).

Funding will only be provided when the cost of the service is beyond that reasonably covered by an existing care allowance, or other sources of funding.
