Play is the language of children and play therapy is a treatment approach that encourages children to play out their fears, worries and conflicts. It is the preferred method to work with children ages 3-12. I am certified in Synergetic Play Therapy®. Play Therapy helps children develop social skills, relationship skills, learn how to express emotions, develop self confidence, problem solving skills, and take responsibility for behaviors. Parents are actively involved in the treatment process.
Parenting is a challenging process, and many parents wonder at times whether they are doing the best for their child. Parent support focuses on the adult learning about child development, ways to encourage positive behaviour, manage undesirable behaviour, and understand the emotional needs of their children in order to build new skills around how to support a child in the tough moments.
